Rodney A. Green, CPA, CISSP, CISA, CIA

Rodney A. Green is the Founder and Principal of Certeza and an accomplished assurance and advisory professional with nearly three decades of experience in IT assurance, governance, risk and compliance, cybersecurity, internal controls, and business advisory. His professional experience spans Big Four and national accounting and advisory firms, the federal government—including IT audit leadership within an Office of Inspector General—and entrepreneurial leadership. Throughout his career, Rodney has advised executives and organizational leaders on complex technology and business risks, regulatory requirements, control environments, and opportunities to strengthen governance and operational effectiveness.

Rodney founded Certeza in 2005, establishing a firm focused on providing assurance and advisory support to government and commercial organizations. Through Certeza and throughout his career, he has led complex IT audits and assessments, cybersecurity and technology risk initiatives, security authorization activities, SOC engagements, third-party risk evaluations, regulatory compliance reviews, and assessments of business processes and internal controls. His federal experience includes work involving OMB requirements, FISMA, NIST standards, and financial systems, while his commercial experience spans financial services, healthcare and life sciences, technology, telecommunications, transportation, utilities, manufacturing, retail, real estate and housing, gaming, and other industries.

A consistent focus throughout Rodney's career has been connecting technology and control issues to the broader risks and objectives of the organization. His approach extends beyond determining whether controls satisfy established requirements to understanding why they exist, the risks they are intended to address, and whether corrective actions meaningfully reduce those risks. He has advised executive leadership on control effectiveness, root cause, residual risk, remediation priorities, and risk mitigation strategies, bringing together perspectives in technology, cybersecurity, accounting, financial and business processes, internal audit, and risk management.

Rodney holds the Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) credentials. He also holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, complementing his professional experience with a strong foundation in business, finance, and accounting.
